Survey sites are always a concern to me.
I find it a bit suspicious that any app or website claims to offer “free rewards for doing things every day”.
InboxDollars was not something I expected to enjoy.
After testing the app’s features, and getting $8 in rewards within my first week, I am convinced that the app is legitimate.
This review will explain eight ways to make money using InboxDollars. I’ll also share my experiences with each feature and reveal the highest-earning activities (and those you should avoid).
Let’s begin at the beginning.
What is InboxDollars?
InboxDollars allows you to take surveys, redeem cash back offers, print coupons and read promotional emails. You can also watch ads and do other tasks to earn extra money.
InboxDollars can be used on your smartphone or tablet. It’s an easy way to make some extra money while walking your dog or standing in line. InboxDollars offers a $5 bonus sign-up bonus for new users .
Prodege LLC is the parent company to InboxDollars. It also owns other similar sites like Swagbucks and MyPoints. You’ll likely notice some similarities with InboxDollars if you have used these sites. InboxDollars has a few distinct features like WinIt codes and Scratch and Win cards. We’ll discuss these more later.
InboxDollars is a site that tracks earnings in dollars and not points. This is something I love about it. This allows you to see exactly how close your cash redemption is. $5 Sign up bonus $5 Sign Up Bonus Terms and Conditions Apply DollarSprout Rating

Is InboxDollars safe and legal?
InboxDollars offers legitimate rewards and surveys. Reviewers of InboxDollars Trustpilot have given it a 4.3-star rating and over 18,000 user reviews.
It also has a rating of 3.9 in the Google Play Store and a rating of 4.5 in the Apple Store, along with 240,000+ reviews.
Prodege, the company that owns InboxDollars, has also been awarded a B rating by the Better Business Bureau, with zero unresolved problems.
Prodege also offers other reward sites like Swagbucks. I have received prompt payouts each time I cashed in for gift cards. This eliminates any concerns that the platform may be a fraud. Although my experience with the company was positive, I can at least attest to the fact that InboxDollars, as well as the other Prodege brands, are legitimate and just as safe as any cash-back or rewards app I have used.
How does InboxDollars work? 8 Main Ways to Make Money
InboxDollars provides many ways to make money. You have the option to choose one or all, depending on what interests you.
You’ll get $5 just for signing up and verifying your email address when you create your first InboxDollars account.
Next, fill out a 30-question questionnaire that collects demographic information such as your age and identified gender. It can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes to complete and comes with a $0.50 bonus.
However, you can’t cash your $5.50 immediately. Your reward redemption limit is $15. You can keep earning by:
- Taking surveys
- Watching videos
- Gaming
- Cashback shopping
- Coupon printing and redemption
- Register for Offers
- Upload your receipts
- You can search the internet
These are just a few of the main ways you can earn. You can also get additional rewards by playing Bingo, redeeming WinIt code, playing Scratch & Win, and referring friends.
There are many ways to earn InboxDollars. Not all of the features are worth your time. Here’s what I found out about each feature of InboxDollars.
1. Participate in paid surveys
You must complete your profile before you can begin taking surveys. For answering a brief questionnaire, you’ll get $0.50.
Surveys can pay $0.01 up to $5, and take between 5 and 20 minutes to complete. There will be approximately 10 surveys in your account.
InboxDollars will recommend the one that is best for you. However, you can order them any way you want.
The opinion of a Reviewer: This is one way to make money using InboxDollars. It won’t make you rich, as it is with all paid surveys.
InboxDollars claims surveys can earn up to $5 but the ones I have in my account range between $0.01 and $0.75. Earnings don’t always correlate with time. There are several surveys that I have in my account that pay $0.25. However, they take anywhere from 6 to 15 minutes to complete.
I have completed three surveys so far. The profile questionnaire netted me $0.50. Next, I completed a quick survey with three questions for $0.01 and another for $0.25.
So far, the surveys that I have taken have been quite enjoyable. Although the InboxDollars user interface isn’t as appealing as other sites, the surveys are well-constructed and the topics are interesting.
Pay attention to any questions that are considered “test”. These questions are often included by survey sites to ensure you pay attention. Your account could be flagged if you answer the demographic questions incorrectly or in a different way than what you provided in your profile questionnaire. If this happens, you may not receive any survey offers.
2. Watch videos.
InboxDollars video categories include entertainment, news, finance, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment. A playlist of videos is included in each category (typically 6-9), which vary in length.
Videos will be displayed in a new tab. A countdown timer runs for 45 to 75 seconds. You can continue to the next video as soon as the countdown timer reaches zero. Clicking on the tab with running timer will pause it.
Reviewer’s Take: First, ensure that your ad blocking software is turned off for this feature. My ad blocker was turned off, and I only saw a message saying, “Sorry we don’t currently have videos.”
After I figured it all out, I was finally able to view the playlists I mentioned above.
Although it seems like a slow-paying job, it is not difficult to do. InboxDollars is a great way to make extra money while multitasking on your computer or laptop.
As I write this, I have a video playlist open in another tab.
It’s not passive, which is the biggest problem. You must switch over when the timer is up and click a button for the next video.
Each playlist has approximately 6 to 9 videos. It takes approximately 3 to 4.5 minutes for $0.01 cents to earn. You’d be better off taking surveys at this rate. If you have other priorities and aren’t able to spend time on surveys, videos can be a good substitute.
3. Play InboxDollars games.
InboxDollars provides free games such as Candy Jam, Solitaire, and Pet Hop. You can also play cash games like Wheel of Fortune, Poker and Casino. These games allow you to make a deposit, and then compete in cash tournaments for a chance at winning more money.
Customer reviews show that it is difficult to make real money by playing InboxDollars. You don’t receive cash rewards for playing. Every game you play contributes to your Scratch & Win progress. This allows you scratch a virtual lottery ticket for random cash prizes.
InboxDollars is a fast way to win Scratch and Win cards, even though you won’t receive any cash.
The view of the Reviewer: I was disappointed to discover that your performance in games and your time don’t directly affect your earnings.
It’s embarrassing to admit that I played the Monkey Bubble Shooter for 30 minutes before realizing my account balance was not changing.
I realized that maybe I wasn’t winning because I wasn’t making any money. So I switched to Pyramid Solitaire. After another 30 minutes, I won the game. There was no payout.
InboxDollars has more free games than other sites like Swagbucks. This is a positive side. If you don’t pay attention, you can easily get lost in the games and lose track of the purpose of what you are trying to accomplish: Make extra money.
It all depends on what your goals are. InboxDollars games can be fun and a great way to earn some extra cash while having fun. If your goal is to make the most of InboxDollars’ earnings, then you might want to keep using some of its other features.
4. Online shopping and cashback
InboxDollars gives cashback at hundreds of stores including Best Buy and The Home Depot. Deals vary from one store to the next. Some offer as little as 1%, while others offer as much as 25% cashback.
You can shop through your InboxDollars account . Browse their list of retailers, or search by category or name. You can also add the Billy Button, a cashback extension to your browser, to get cashback from them.
The Billy Button lets you know when InboxDollars has coupons or cashback so you don’t miss out on any deals. You’ll be notified when there are new surveys or other opportunities in your account.
The take of the Reviewer: InboxDollars doesn’t differ from other cashback apps like Rakuten or Capital One Shopping. The Billy Button is more convenient than shopping online.
Similar to my experience with Swagbucks, which, as a reminder is owned by InboxDollars, not all deals are what they seem to be.
Best Buy, for example, offers 1% cashback. When I click on the offer and expand its terms and conditions, I get a list that doesn’t qualify me for cashback. This includes any Apple products, video games consoles, drones and cameras.
InboxDollars is a marketplace that allows you to shop for items. Make sure you carefully read each deal before you buy.
My view is that spending money to get cashback is not a smart decision. If you shop online, the Billy Button can help to find coupons and earn cashback with InboxDollars.
I love a good deal so I have several cashback extensions like Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, Swag Button and Billy Button. My Chrome browser. Each offer may have different coupons and deals. Each one will let you know when you go to check if there are coupons or cashback, so I pick the one that has the best offer.
5. Print coupons and redeem them
Coupons.com powers InboxDollars coupons. Earn $0.01 per coupon printed (up to 50 credits per calendar day), and $0.10 for each coupon redeemed.
Points should appear in your account within a few business days after you have printed a coupon. However, it may take up to 12 to receive points for coupons that have been redeemed.
The majority of coupons are for groceries, home, and personal care products like shampoo, conditioner, and other over-the-counter medications.
Reviewer’s Take: This is my favorite way to earn InboxDollars and it is also one of the most simple.
Although I was unsure if I would be able print coupons as my printer is not in commission, it turned out that you don’t have to. You can save the coupons as a PDF to still receive credit.
It takes 30 seconds to visit your account, click on 50 coupons or just one of them and then download the PDF. After testing this, I woke up to receive an email from InboxDollars stating that $0.50 had been credited to my account.
This way I made $1.50, but I ran out coupons to print by day four. According to InboxDollars, new coupons are posted weekly. I am currently waiting for a new batch.
6. Register for InboxDollars Offers
InboxDollars offers are the most lucrative tasks. These offers usually require that you sign up for an app or website from a third party.
You may need to place an order, open a new account, and deposit money. However you can filter the offers for 100% free. To view the details of each offer, click on it.
Cashback from offers may take up to 7 days or more to appear in your InboxDollars Account.
The view of A reviewer said that Swagbucks was spammy.
Some of these are valid, and some may even be all. They are often not as easy as they appear.
For example, one deal in my account says that I only need to complete a brief survey to receive a $10 reward. After completing the short survey, I am redirected to a page that says I must claim additional deals from third-party sites or fourth-party websites in order to receive the reward.
Most of these deals require me pay for something.
It’s enough to say that I did not receive any rewards for my deals.
Reddit users have also written glowing reviews about these offers. However, I believe that if you don’t see a product or site you are interested in, it’s better to take surveys and print coupons than do other activities with InboxDollars.
7. Send your receipts to get cashback
InboxDollars provides two types of receipt uploads to cashback: Magic Receipts or Any Receipt.
I haven’t used cashback grocery apps such as Ibotta. Magic Receipts is a similar process. Select from a variety of InboxDollars deals, add them to the cart, then purchase the items at a participating store. Take a photo of the receipt and upload it into your account to receive immediate cashback.
You can earn cashback on any brand of milk or bread.
Receipt deals sound exactly like they are. Any receipt less than 14 days old from more than 1,100 retailers can be uploaded. Each receipt submitted will earn $0.02
The majority of Magic Receipt deals require in-store purchases, but you can submit Any Receipt orders for both online and in-store.
Reviewer’s Take: I’ve used this feature with Swagbucks and it was the exact same experience on InboxDollars.
It was my first receipt submission and I was surprised at how easy it was. Although I expected my cashback to take several days, InboxDollars scan my receipt immediately after I uploaded it. They then credit my account right away.
One tip that I learned the hard way was to pay attention to the stores offering the deals you add. Filter the deals for your primary store if you already shop there.
This will ensure that you don’t buy too many things just because you think they’re good prices. However, you might accidentally purchase a lot of items at Kroger when you upload your receipt.
8. Use the InboxDollars Search Engine.
InboxDollars search engine does not count towards your dollar earnings. It gives you progress towards your next Scratch and Win (which we’ll discuss more below)
You can earn credit for up to 4 searches on some days, but you might be eligible for rewards for as many as 20.
The Reviewer’s Take: I don’t believe the InboxDollars search algorithm is as advanced as Google’s. It’s a great way to get credit for Scratch or Win cards, which can be addictive.
Multiple credits can be earned for the same search term. Toggling between images, videos and news allows you to get multiple credits.
To see how Scratch and Win cards work and what kind of rewards you can expect, I decided to give them a try. Just by doing a few searches, I was able to quickly get to the second tier.
InboxDollars offers other ways to earn
Apart from coupons and surveys, which are the primary ways to earn cashback on InboxDollars (and other methods), you can also earn bonus rewards by using Scratch and wins, WinIt codes and bonus streaks. You can also refer friends to the app.
Scratch and Win
These were discussed in the games section. You’ll be able to earn progress towards a Scratch & Win card by completing surveys, playing games, and participating in other activities on InboxDollars. This is basically a digital lottery ticket that comes with a random reward.
Three milestones are available in Scratch and Win. Each reward has the potential to be a maximum of $10, $25 or $100.
The more activities that you do (i.e. surveys, games, searches, etc. The higher the scratcher, the more you will get. InboxDollars blogs state that most scratchers cost between $0.25 and $0.25.
Reviewer’s Take:Scratch & Wins can be addictive, just as lottery tickets.
Searches are the fastest way to get Scratch and Win tickets. In less than one minute, I was able to reach the first tier with just four searches.
Scratch and Wins are fun and exciting but I wouldn’t trust them to bring in the majority of your earnings. Random numbers of points can be earned. For $0.28, I have gotten 10 Scratch & Win cards. One from each of the three levels.
My four lowest cards paid $0.01 each (one of which, a Tier 3 Scratch & Win), while my highest card paid $0.08 at Tier 2.
Cash in your cards if you have them. However, if your goal to maximize your InboxDollars time is to maximize it, then focus on high-earning activities such as surveys, coupons and cashback.
WinIt codes
InboxDollars may sometimes post “WinIt” codes to their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Each code comes with a different reward. Some codes are worth just a few cents while others allow you to enter sweepstakes or earn progress towards your next Scratch & Win.
These codes will expire at 11:59 CST on the day they are posted. You should check their social media accounts regularly to find them.
Reviewer’s Take: I searched the company’s social media channels and found a WinIt Code on Facebook. This code is worth Scratch or Win credit.
You can follow InboxDollars if you are already on Twitter, Instagram and/or Facebook to keep up-to-date about new codes. They’re not a reliable income opportunity, but they are a bonus like Scratch or Win.
Referrals and Bonus Streaks
InboxDollars will reward you with a $0.03-$0.010 bonus every time you reach your daily earnings goal. Based on your earnings history, InboxDollars will set your daily goal.
You get an even greater bonus if you reach your daily goal or complete your daily tasks in a string (known as a streak).
Referring to InboxDollars will earn you a $1 cash bonus and 30% of your lifetime earnings.
Referrals must earn at least $7 to be eligible for the bonus. Within 24 hours, your bonus credit will be sent to you once they have earned the minimum $7
You’ll still receive 30% of the earnings from your 5th referral but not $1.
The take of I wish InboxDollars would share more information about how they determine your daily earnings goal. However, it is a nice perk. I have earned $0.06 in bonuses so far. This is mostly due to printing coupons and doing a few surveys.
Referral program is not as great as I have experienced with other apps, especially since the $1 bonus is for 5 referrals only.
Although I cannot speak for everyone, I was able to reach $7 within just 2 or 3 days after opening an account. This includes the $5 sign up bonus. You could receive your bonus if your referrals are persistent.
What Can You Make With InboxDollars
Once you have reached $15, you can cash your earnings to PayPal cash or gift certificates to Amazon, Target and Starbucks.
The activities you choose will determine how much you can make.
For instance, I spent 30 minutes playing the Monkey Bubble Shooter, which earned me a Tier 2 ticket. I scratched it, and received a $0.02 reward.
Next, I completed a 20-minute survey which paid $0.50
It cost $0.04 an hour. This is a low rate.
The hourly rate for taking surveys was $1.50. It’s not a lot, but it is about average for survey sites. It’s definitely more than the InboxDollars games.
InboxDollars’ highest-paying activities include cashback, surveys, cashback and receipt uploads. You can expect to make $15-30 per month if you follow these guidelines.
Side hustles are not meant to be high-earning side businesses. InboxDollars is a great place to make quick money doing simple tasks.
InboxDollars Alternatives
Sign up for InboxDollars alternatives if you have trouble getting approved for surveys or want to explore more options.
Branded Surveys Unlike InboxDollars which offers many ways to earn, taking surveys is the only way to make money through Branded Surveys. Your 100 first points will be earned for opening an account. You can cash out gift cards to favorite restaurants, travel websites, and online retailers up to 1,000 points. This is equal to $10 You can either transfer your earnings to PayPal, or have them directly deposit into your bank account.
Survey Junkie: Survey Junkie is still a popular site. This site is solely focused on surveys, as the name implies.
Minimum payout is $10. You can redeem points for cash or e-gift card via PayPal.
Swagbucks: Swagbucks, a popular side-hustle and survey site, is very popular. You can earn money through surveys, coupon redemptions, and watching videos. Swagbucks offers new members a $10 sign up bonus.
Earnings can be cashed out for as low as $1 or 140 Swagbucks (SBs). You have two options for redeeming your earnings: PayPal cash and gift cards for top retailers like Amazon and iTunes. You may need to redeem Target gift cards at a minimum of $5, while Amazon gift cards start from $1.
SwagButton is another browser extension that allows you to easily earn points. It lets you find additional coupons and deals by clicking on it.
InboxDollars Review: Great for Extra Spending Money
Swagbucks are similar to many other survey sites. It’s not surprising, since they both belong to the same company.
If you are looking to make extra money quickly, InboxDollars and any other survey site or app is the best. If your main goal is to make as much money as possible with the app, you should stick to the surveys and printing coupons. You can also upload your receipts.
You might find it fun to just play the app and get random rewards with Scratch and Win tickets.
It’s unlikely that you will make hundreds of dollars a month. It’s a good way to spend your time, even if you only get a $15 gift card.
Thanks in support of sharing such a nice idea, article is nice, thats why i have read it fully
Inbox dollars has been legit in my experience. I have made several 100 dollars from inboxdollars
Inbox Dollars is awesome
My friends and I love inbox dollars
InboxDollars is a legitimate platform that pays users for completing various online tasks, such as taking surveys, reading emails, and watching videos.
Many users have successfully earned money through InboxDollars and have reported receiving payments without any issues.
However, it’s important to note that the earning potential on InboxDollars is relatively low, and users may need to complete multiple tasks to earn a significant amount of money.
Some users have reported issues with account deactivation or difficulty in qualifying for surveys, but these issues appear to be relatively rare.
InboxDollars does have a minimum payout threshold of $30, which may take some time to reach depending on the user’s activity level and the availability of tasks.
The platform also offers cashback rewards for online shopping, which can be a great way to earn additional money.
Overall, while InboxDollars may not provide a substantial source of income, it is a legitimate way to earn some extra money online.
Users should always be cautious of scams and ensure that they are providing accurate and truthful information when completing tasks on InboxDollars.
It’s also important to read the platform’s terms and conditions carefully, as certain activities or behaviors may result in account deactivation or a reduction in earnings.
In conclusion, while InboxDollars is a legitimate platform for earning money online, users should be aware of its limitations and take precautions to ensure they are using the platform safely and responsibly.
