It’s officially grilling season and you can step up your grill game with these three exciting BBQ products from Yumms! Make your patties perfect with the Burger Press, cook the clean way with the BBQ Mats and keep an eye on everything with the BBQ light. Yumms! sent me one of each to try out, and grilling burgers was never this fun or easy.
My favorite feature of the Burger Press is that I never had to touch raw meat. No more germy hands! I just spooned about 1/4 pound of ground beef into the press and gently pushed down. Then I sprinkled on some seasoning and used the handy lifter to put ’em on the heat. The ridges keep the burger from sticking so it’s actually easier than using your hands. It only took 3 burgers for me to get the technique perfected. And clean up? I just popped it into the dishwasher.
I cooked the burgers on my charcoal grill with my Yumms! BBQ Mat in place. The mat keeps little things like veggies from falling though the grill, and my burgers still caramelized to the perfect color. For the first time my burgers did NOT stick to the grill, and the grease just rolled off the back (no flare ups!). It cleaned up with just a wipe, even though I melted cheese all over it. This mat would be perfect for grilling at a picnic area, where you don’t know how well the grill was cleaned last time.
The BBQ Light is so cool. The bright LEDs lit up both sides of my grill at once and it clamped securely to the lid. It resists heat and weather, and is bright enough to use night or day. The on/off button isn’t really a button at all: just glide your finger across it! My husband plans on using the BBQ Light as a shop light, and a flashlight too.
