Walmart Coupon Policy

Many of you have had questions (and complaints) about Walmart and their coupon policy. I want to share with you the information I received after speaking to a customer service representative.

I was told that ALL Walmart stores accept printable coupons as long are within the guidelines below. They said that if you ever have a problem with a store not accepting a coupon that is within the guidelines to give them a call at 1-800-966-6546. Below is a copy of their policy (which you can also find on their site here). I would suggest printing out a copy to take to the store in case you ever have a problem.

Walmart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
Free merchandise (or manufacturer’s Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
Store coupons
Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
Internet coupons
Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:

Walmart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Walmart will not accept expired coupons.
Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer Coupon.” There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
Only one coupon per item is permitted.
Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

    Wendi,
I finally got a call back from Diane, the local district manager, and what do ya know, the store made a mistake.
I guess they are not accepting coupons from a company
(verall) I am not sure of the spelling, but I guess this company printed some pretty damaging coupons like 8.00 dollars off bottled water, but I will be printing a copy of their policy for my shopping experience next weekend.
    Thanks for your help.

I wonder if those were the Face Book coupons. I heard last week about people getting coupons for $6 off Pantene and other crazy stuff and then heard they were taken off because they were fake.

I’m glad that you got everything worked out. I don’t know why we must all suffer so much to get a good deal =)

I don’t know how it is going for the rest of your viewers, but our Riteaid is refusing any computer generated coupons except ones that are printed from Riteaid.com! When I called the Customer Satisfaction Dept on the corporate level I was referred to the District Manager who refused the coupons to start with! The CS Rep refused to quote the coupon policy over the phone. She politely directed me back to the District Manager. They have no coupon policy on the company website. However, they do take other competitor stores coupons, go figure?!
    Any suggestions???

    Samantha ????!!!!
