This Week’s CVS and Rite Aid Trips 8/31 to 9/6

My husband had always looked forward to Sunday because it was a great sports day, whether it was the NFL or if he went out for a round of golf.  While I admit that he has turned me into somewhat of a football fan, I still wake up on Sunday thinking about getting all of my deals.

At CVS I picked up a bottle of jasmine and lavender Dawn @ $0.99, a 1.5 L Listerine @ $5.99, 2 Scotch lint rollers for $7.48 (they were B1G1 50% off), and 2 Covergirl Wetslicks @ $5.99 each.  So my original total is $26.44 before tax.  A CVS $4/20 coupon brings the total down to $22.44.  I had a $0.50 Dawn coupon, two $1.00 coupons for the lint rollers, and a Covergirl BOGO lip product coupon, making my total 13.95 after coupons.  I then paid with $3.49 in ECBs from previous trips and $10 in ECBs I got by being a member of the CVS Advisory Panel (I’ll tell you how to get in on that in a future post).  My out-of-pocket for all that great stuff was $0.46 plus $0.56 in tax, and I got back $6.99 in ECBs and another $4/20 coupon.

I dashed over to Rite Aid and I got a tube of Crest MultiCare Whitening @ $2.49, Almay eyeshadow @ $3.99, Pantene Expressions shampoo @ $4.99 and L’Oreal Revitalift @ $14.99.  That makes my original total $26.46, which is strangely enough only two cents more than my CVS total was.  So out come the coupons: $1.00 in-ad coupon for Pantene, a $2.00 Pantene and a $0.75 Crest coupon.  My new total is $22.71, but there is a $1.74 SCR on the toothpaste (making it free), a $1.00 SCR on the eyeshadow, a $1.99 SCR on the shampoo (it’s free too) and a $14.99 SCR for Ritavalift (yes, also free).  After all is said and done I only paid $2.99 cash, plus tax.
