Free Upcoming Events
It sounds like many of you had a great time last weekend with all the free events that were going on. Here is what Michelle had to say about Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinics:
I wanted to thank you for the heads up on the Lowe’s crafts for kids on Saturday. They really did a nice job, not only did we get the fire engine kit, but a free apron, children’s safety glasses and a patch to sew on the apron. We will be going back every two weeks to not only make the craft but to collect the patches. The only thing people want to be aware of, even if you pre-register the kits are on a first come, first serve basis. So parents need to be on-time if their local store is a busy one, or if they are last minute people, they can still enjoy doing the project by just walking in.
Month Long
There will be free live theater shows all this month as a part of Free Night of Theater 2008.
If you don’t mind paying a little money, Michaels has great craft events for kids all month long. Cost is $5 per child.

Make a whistle tire truck from 9 AM -12 PM at the Home Depot. This is for kids ages 5-12. Call your local store to register. Make sure to be on time since supplies are on a first come, first serve basis.

Toys R Us is having a Thomas and Friends Play Date from 11AM to 1 PM. This event will include storytime every half hour, coloring, and Thomas & Friends wooden railway play table time. Your child will also receive a free pack of trading cards (while supplies last).

Aveda is having a men’s consultation event in select states. Learn hairstyling techniques, shaving tips and get a free gift. Ladies who bring in a guy can get a free makeup consultation.

Babies R Us is having a Help Your Baby Sleep seminar at 7 PM. Reservations are suggested.

Michaels is having a Scrapbook Discovery Day with make-it take-its and live demos from 1-4 PM. Check to make sure you local store will be participating.
