Free Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Download

Microsoft is offering a free download of  Office Professional Plus 2010 to test on your PC in order to help ensure smooth adoption when the final product is available and gather feedback from real world settings.  Because this is pre-release software, Microsoft recommends installing the software on your secondary PC to avoid any operating problems with your primary computer.  This offer is international however, the beta is only provided in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.

    I personally tend to favour SSuite Office’s free office suites. Their software also don’t need to run on Java or .NET, like so many open source office suites, so it makes their applications very small and efficient.

    I still prefer SSuite Office. It’s nice and small and runs very fast on any system. It also does not require Java or .NET to run on.
