Prepare for the Day Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Johnson & Johnson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don’t usually talk about myself here, and even if you’ve clicked my ‘about’ page we really don’t know each other that well. Blogging is a pretty cool job, but it takes a certain mindset to sit down with the laptop and scour the Internet for freebies. It’s really all about how I prepare for the day. Right now you’re probably picturing a blurry-eyed, pajama-clad mom fumbling in vain for a coffee maker. Sure, coffee is involved, but the real trigger to my day is a double shot of Cool Mint® Listerine® Antiseptic Mouthwash.

You read that right. The secret to blogging is Listerine®.

My Cool Mint® Listerine® Antiseptic Mouthwash is what tells me “Hey! It’s morning! Time to get started already!” It says it nicely, but I get the minty message and I know that freebies wait for no one.

If you think about it, it makes sense to buy the products you use every day at Sam’s Club. If you use them everyday, you want to get the best prices and you never want to run out. Pick up some Lubriderm® Daily Moisture Lotion (hello, it’s got “Daily” in the name), some SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetner Packs for that morning coffee, RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer, and Neutrogena Rainbath® Refreshing Shower and Bath Gel for when you finally do get that well deserved shower.

You can also get the not-so-daily but still important to keep on hand items, like Zyrtec® for allergies and BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages. I like to pair those up with NEOSPORIN® when my daughter takes a tumble on the playground.

Three things – if I skip one, my day just doesn’t go right. 1) A hot shower, 2) a big glass of ice-cold water, and 3) a big cup of coffee, one packet of Sugar in the Raw and a splash of half and half. (Does this mean I’m high maintenance? Hmm.)

  4. Hwmom says

Wash my face, brush my teeth and apply a liberal amount of tinted moisturizer and black eyeliner and I’m ready to go

Morning is my time, I get up at least 30 minutes before anyone else. Cup of coffee, take the dog out, and give thanks for watching the sunrise. This kinda gives me balance for the day no matter what happens.

  13. Vanessa Man says

As horrible and personal as it sounds, I need to go to the bathroom before I leave the house. If not my whole day gets out of place. I can’t go at public restrooms and I feel stuffed all day.

  14. Lindsey L. says

It’s not morning until I have a cup of coffee with, get this, a spoonful of brown sugar. Really makes my coffee taste amazing! After that, I wash my face with cold water to wake up my skin!

  15. Konni says

I need a list of things to complete for the day that I compiled the previous night. That way when someone ( anyone) comes to me with a proposed change or alteration to my schedual, ive already prepared myself about what all needs to be done and can easily stay on top of looking forward to starting my day. Other than that, I pray and get up!

  16. petra says

to prepare for the day I need to eat a healthy breakfast — can’t leave home on an empty stomach

  17. Dawn C. says

I need to remember to be the nicest I can to people–friends, co-workers, and strangers–no matter how stressful the day or horrific the weather. Negativity is contagious. But so is kindness!
