Freebies and The Good Life

I saw it recently and it got me thinking about freebies and how they relate to living the good life. For me, it started just by wanting to share a couple of good finds with my mom and my sister Jenni. Having free samples show up on my mailbox was fun, but sharing them with my friends and family was what really made it worthwhile.

And that’s when the idea to become a blogger struck me.

What if I could show hundreds or even thousands of people what I found every day? The idea was exciting for sure, but daunting at the same time. I really didn’t know how to be a blogger. Learning how to get a website started was just the tip of the iceberg, of course. What did people want to read about? Would anyone other than my friends and family ever see it? Motivated by my entreprenurial fever, and a slight case of unemployment, I dove in feet first and never looked back. Five years later I’ve got this blogging thing down and thanks to readers like you I’m still going strong.

Loved your post! I’ve been a daily visitor of yours for years now….back to when you had your first web design! I’ve become a blogger now myself and do one with my sister on women’s lives. Still love your blog, though, and your freebies! Thank you!
